Where we've been and what we've done

  • 29 have climbed a mountain (some bigger than others)
  • 8 have snorkeled one of the great reefs of the world
  • 40 have visited at least one of the 7 natural wonders of the world
  • 27 Insighters have seen at least one of the 7 man-made wonders of the world
  • 7 of us have climbed the Great Wall of China
  • 1 Insight traveler has been to every continent except Antarctica and another has been to 47 of the 50 states…almost there!
  • 4 of us have been to the world’s smallest (Vatican City) and largest (Russia) countries
  • 8 of us have skydived, 6 have bungee jumped...all of them would do it again!
  • 20 have braved white water rapids in a thin rubber raft

What we’ve accomplished as a team

  • We’ve received 55 industry awards
  • And earned 109 utility patents and 250 design patents
  • 40 of us came from consulting firms
  • 21 came from corporate environments
  • 12 were hired first as Insight interns and returned after graduation
  • 10 have been at Insight for more than 5 years and 6 have been at Insight for more than ten years!
  • 2 for more than 2 decades (guess who)
  • Our team has performed over 20,000 hours of research at thousands of sites in 30 different countries around the world

People

Who we are and how we live

  • Insight has 46 children
  • 7 of us were born outside the US
  • Nearly half of Insight volunteers every year for charitable causes
  • Insight speaks 14 languages; Chinese, French, German, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Kutchi, Lithuanian, Marathi, Polish, Russian, Spanish …and English
  • Insight bikes more than 300 miles a week on average
  • Insight has run 24 marathons and completed 75 Triathlons
  • 13 were college athletes (oh, the glory days)
  • One of us was a professional rugby player and another has a black belt in jujitsu and tae kwon do…we are extra nice to those two
  • We’ve earned 20 graduate degrees (and a few PhDs)
  • 15 of us studied abroad in college

I enjoy immersing myself in the lives of the people who will ultimately use our designs. Everyday I get the opportunity to be exposed to a new slice of life, to be involved in a world I may have never been the part of otherwise.”
