Insight Exhibits at DXR 2009, a Celebration of Designers Based in the Carolinas
May 5, 2009 – Insight exhibited at DXR '09: Designing Change, a weeklong exhibition celebrating designers who are based in North and South Carolina. The exhibition kicked off on Friday, May 1st.
The exposition is for both professionals and students and is a forum to display and discuss their work and to network with other designers and the public. Insight displayed two projects, the Herman Miller C2 Climate Control, a personal heating and cooling device, and Britax Frontier child safety seat at the event's opening night in Raleigh at Flanders Art Gallery. Several members of Insight's Raleigh office were in attendance to discuss the work and to meet other designers.
“It is important to be a part of our local design community,” said Margaret Butler, senior designer at Insight Raleigh. “We felt compelled to participate and we enjoyed showcasing our work to the greater community and seeing what our peers are working on.”
In addition to industrial design, applied arts such as animation, architecture, graphic design, interior design, and landscape architecture were showcased. This year's exhibit is in Raleigh from May 1-9 and will travel to Charlotte, NC and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design from August 20-22.
