Insight Presenting and Exhibiting at MD&M East June 8-10April 12, 2010 – MD&M East at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Center is one of the world’s largest events for medical design and manufacturing. This year Insight will have great presence at the show that begins June 8th and ends June 10th. Two of Insight’s senior staff will be presenting at the conference that coincides with the exposition, and Insight will exhibit a newly expanded and upgraded booth (Booth #722) in the expo hall. Insight’s two speaking engagements are Wednesday, June 9th, 2010 at the MD&M conference. Ed Geiselhart, director of product development and planning at Insight will present “How Do you Know if you are Innovating Effectively” with George Walls, senior manager, St. Jude Medical. Their talk will focus on methods and strategies for proactively identifying and responding to obstacles to success relative to technology adoption. They will present Wednesday, June 9th at 10:00 am. “St. Jude has been a great client of ours for many years and together we have completed projects that focus on entire workflows to ensure that the innovation is effective for all the people interacting with the product,” said Geiselhart. “We will share with the audience our innovation approach and red flags to be mindful of throughout the development process.” Ross Teague, Ph.D., partner and director of research at Insight will be presenting with Chris Evans of West Pharmaceutical Services. Insight and West, currently in the third year of a formal development alliance, both have a rich history of developing innovative solutions within a rigorous system. Their topic, “QMS vs. Creativity: There can be a balance” will provide insight into how to enable significant innovation and creativity inside the rigors of a quality management system. They will present Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm. “We have worked with West on many projects that require us to be extremely innovative in the QMS system, and we can show the audience examples of how these seemingly opposite concepts not only coexist, but feed off each other,” said Teague. Insight will debut a larger and more visually interesting booth at the New York show. Residing in Booth # 722 June 8-10, senior members of Insight staff will be available to discuss our process and share case studies. Video displays and samples will allow for visitors to get a strong feel for Insight’s capabilities and experience developing medical products.
