Insight’s very own Charlotte Lux has been published in Core77’s recently released book, “Designing Here/Now – A global selection of objects, concepts and spaces for the future.” Her featured strategy and research project that appears in the book – originally undertaken as part of her graduate program thesis, was hand selected for publication by an expert jury of deans, professors, fellows and business leaders.
Focused on applying user-centered design methodologies to improve the patient experience in stereotactic breast biopsy – the project holds special meaning for Lux.
“As a designer and a woman with a family history of breast cancer, I was interested in applying user-centered design methodologies to address a less-than-ideal human experience truly worth improving,” she says.
Her project demonstrates how design thinking and a holistic approach to health care design that is patient-centered and ethnography-driven can be used to shape and improve the human experience by reducing the physical and psychological impact of potentially traumatic medical procedures.
Congratulations Charlotte!!
