Insight Design Team’s Skintact
wins Red Dot Concept Award!

Red Dot awardInsight is pleased to
announce that we have won a Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2017.
This year’s entry, Skintact, creates a complete system to
control and heal mild to severe eczema using medicated patches and
light therapy.

Designed by Senior Designer Alisa Rantanen,
Industrial Designers Pachara Kangchirdsri and Laura Ott, and
Senior Design Manager Tony Belton, this concept is a decidedly
simple solution that explores what wearable design could look like
in healthcare.

SkinTact

“This concept was really borne out of personal
frustration with caring for sensitive skin. The rest of the team
was on board, making this the perfect opportunity to develop a
simple solution for an enduring issue.”

Senior Designer

More about
Skintact:

30% of the US population suffers from eczema, yet
there is no cure. Skintact is a complete system to control and heal
mild to severe eczema using medicated patches and light therapy.
These long-wear patches are modular and can be applied in a strip
or separated to cover large and small areas alike. Patches are
delivered in tape-like rolls and stored in a refillable dispenser
as an elegant, efficient, and mess-free solution.

Skintact
protects skin, promotes healing, and prevents scratching, all while
concealing affected areas. This concept is a decidedly simple
solution that explores what wearable design could look like in
healthcare.
