On October 30th, Insight’s own Principal Human Factors Engineer Michael Lau, and Industrial Designer Alisa Rantanen spoke on a panel at the International Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
Each lent their own distinct professional perspectives and expertise in the course of the panel discussion entitled “Usability of Human Factors Research in Design: Advice from Users of Science to Producers of Science.” Among the many hot topics addressed by the Insight team in the course of the lively discussion were potential approaches and solutions for making human factors standards more accessible to design professionals – including more streamlined communication between human factors academia and industry practitioners, and between corporate practitioners of non-competitive industries.
