A procedure, brand, and product category redefined
Surgical procedures which use vertebroplasty (a process in which bone cement is injected into a patient's vertebrae to reconstitute his spine) were notoriously messy, unpredictable, and imperfect. Cardinal Health asked Insight to explore opportunities for improving the workflow of vertebroplasty procedures by creating innovative features, interactions, and product attributes for their next-generation vertebroplasty solution. The objective was to optimize the workflow so that the radiologists and orthopedists who perform vertebroplasty would have a new option which presented obvious benefits and delivered demonstrable results.
