and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting, Insight’s Human Factors
Director Michael Lau, PhD and Design
Manager Alisa Rantanen participated in a panel
discussion surrounding the need for cross-training between both
disciplines in order to promote harmonious collaboration within
today’s product development process.
“Although
the end goal is the same for human factors engineers and designers
(a safe, usable product), each have individual goals as well.
Education can play a role in understanding of respective goals that
effective collaboration depends on.”
