About
Cures Within Reach catalyzes repurposing research to quickly and affordably improve patient lives. Repurposing research seeks to create new treatments for serious unmet needs using existing drugs, devices and nutriceuticals. We accomplish this through collaborations that connect researchers and funders, by facilitating crowdsourcing and community, and by identifying alternative financing models and incentives.
CureAccelerator – world’s first online, interactive platform dedicated to repurposing research created by Cures Within Reach in 2015 and built with a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This platform is dedicated to supporting “proof of concept” research repurposing drugs, devices and nutriceuticals already approved for human use.
Cures Within Reach Young Professionals Board
The CWR Young Professionals Board mission is to elevate awareness about CWR’s goals and initiatives, including the launch of the CureAccelerator, the first interactive, online platform dedicated to repurposing research by connecting researchers, funders, the biomedical industry and patient groups. The Board also supports CWR’s fundraising efforts through events and outreach.
