Helping Medical Startups Cross the Valley of Death: Insight Accelerator Labs Featured in Tribune Article

The Chicago Tribune recently ran a piece focused on our Insight Accelerator Labs accelerator program, which helps medical startups go from conceptualization to achieving a market-ready product.

Insight Accelerator Labs Executive Steve McPhilliamy told the Tribune how the project will work with several Chicago universities in order to find select companies and offer them an residency at Insight’s Ravenswood office, allowing them to collaborate with Insight’s proven product development team, and also assist them with mentorship and financial connections in order to make their ideas successful. Carolyn Rose, Senior Manager of Research and Strategy, Guest Speaks at Syracuse University

Carolyn Rose, Senior Manager of Research and Strategy, returned to her alma mater, Syracuse University, to participate as a guest speaker in the Annual Networking Conference sponsored by the school’s Department of Design.

During the two day event, Carolyn presented a retrospective look at leveraging a design education within the context of user research and opportunity definition; she also participated in a collaborative professional evaluation of the current curriculum, and met with students individually for portfolio reviews. “It was a great way to reconnect and contribute towards a constantly evolving process, said Carolyn, “… and take advantage of $3 beers.”

Insight Hosts Design Students from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago

Insight hosted a class of students this week from an Introductory to Designed Objects course at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). The students came by the office for a tour of the facility and a presentation on Insight and the ins and outs of the product development industry. University of Cincinnati Event Brings together Academia and Industry
